Love An Honorable Life

Let's Do It

James 3:13-16

▪️If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.▪️

Live an honorable life before the Lord. Let Him be your focus and only plumb line. Don't compare yourselves to others and try to justify your actions just because you think you are a stand up fella... your fella-ing will be cut short because you have opened up the door to the enemy and left yourself wide open for 'the way of mankind.' What is the way of mankind? Look around you.. mankind 'eats, drinks, and makes merry.. for tomorrow they die."

We are called to live. Live a life that is abundant and that glorifies our Lord Jesus. We are not called to be angry and mad at one another. We aren't to hold grudges and try to get even. That prospers no one, but it does open the door for the enemy to come in and reign. When we replace the Loving God on the Throne of our lives with an angry god of this world by doing things it's way, then what do we expect?

And then, after all this... do we bow down our knees in prayer requesting help in our time of need? Do we pray for peace and joy, provision and health, while serving the enemy of our Lord? Does it even make sense?

What did Jesus say? He said, "(Matthew 5:23-24) So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God."

Did you hear the last words? "THEN COME and offer your sacrifice...." That means... then come back to Him. Jesus wants things restored, first 'out' with the bitterness and selfishness, take care of these matters, and then 'in' with the restored fellowshipping, abundant living, protection and good health. If God is for you... who can be against you?
