"Several years ago, Charis graduate Yvonne Smith had spent months planning a women’s conference, but with only a few days until the event, she sensed God was leading her to cancel it. She chose obedience to the Holy Spirit, canceled the event, and went to church where she saw fellow church member Elton being led out of the sanctuary by concerned helpers.
Recognizing him, Yvonne took off running after them. When she got to Elton, he was completely unresponsive, his eyes were rolled back, and his skin had turned grey. The people around him said, “We’ve lost him. He stopped breathing.” But Yvonne stood in her authority as a believer and said, “Elton, you will not die here today. You will live, and you will not die! Life! I speak life into you in the name of Jesus! You rise up, Elton! You rise up! You’re not dying today, Elton!”
Elton then regained consciousness—with a big smile on his face! He later recalled that when he came to, he felt wonderful. February 2021 marked five years since he was raised from the dead."
