Luke 2:51
“Then he returned to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. And his mother stored all these things in her heart.“
Jesus was a child. And as a child he submitted himself to his mother and father. We can tell by the text that Jesus was very intelligent and could hold his own with scholarly persons. But even though he could talk and outsmart anyone, he stepped back and yielded to please our heavenly father by submitting to the authorities over him.
There are some places in life where the lord places us in a position that we might be much more in the knowing than the person we are assigned to. I know it teaches us character, but there are probably many more reasons the Lord places us there.
We need to submit to the authority he places us under, bite the bullet if we have to, and obey. One day the Lord will open the door and he will promote us into the position that we have been trained for.
