“Hi Ho Daddy O”

Daniel 10:10-14

Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands.
And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

Let us not play spiritual warfare games. Lets not presume a fifteen min cup of coffee with a superficial “chat” with our “daddy God”
is going to cut us the grade of a “super warrior” status. But, too often, it is just like that, and then out the door we go, off to work, off to Sunday School, or off to breakfast with friends and family.
Then we enter the world of tribulation and destruction. Do we really wonder why so many are cut down each day? Have we seriously considered the power of our enemy?

Oh, should we not consider the enemy’s power? The Holy Spirit took time to reveal it to us when He penned the rescue of His own
angel by sending a back up angel to help deliver the message being sent to Daniel.

Look at the chain of events: An angel is sent to deliver the message, but encounters demonic resistance so strong that a second angel is dispatched to assist the first angel. Then the angel with the message breaks through and encounters the man named Daniel. Daniel is so overwhelmed physically by the angel’s presence that Daniel colapses under the power. The angel has to touch Daniel to give him strength enough to rise and hear the message.

So what we have is a serious look at the power of the enemy. Yes, we have much better weapons, but if anyone thinks a chippy walk through the Throne Room with a cavalier, “Hi Ho Daddy 0” will be enough to win battles… then all I can say is… when we run into warfare
larger than yourself, ourselves, then we’d better have a great set of lungs so we can cry out for help and mercy in our time of need. Amen?
Amen!
